Every year since 1986, SF/LA has presented Angelenos with spectacular evenings of professionally produced and critically acclaimed performances of Shakespeare's works under the stars.

Each production blends old and new to make Shakespeare accessible to all audiences; each classic play is set against a local backdrop to reflect Los Angeles and the diversity found in its people, neighborhoods, and history.

Coming Summer 2009:

Food For Thought

Many thanks to everyone who participated in our Food for Thought program, which asked for a non-perishable canned food donation in lieu of a ticket price at our downtown L.A. venue!

In 2008, we collected more than 2,400 items for the Cathedral Outreach Center & The Food Bank of Southern California.

In 2009, help us continue this important community tradition, which has collected more than $1.5 million in food items to date. Learn the history behind the program >
